After the Rain

I love how my garden looks

Seri went on a road trip with my Dad, a.k.a. Papa, today so it was just me and my little man.  

We made breakfast together.

We walked to get coffee and hot chocolate.

We walked to the flower shop.

We walked to the park to play.

He walked the whole way.  

We snuggled and watched a movie.

We played outside.

We went with Grandy to get his new bike for his birthday.  He didn't want a big boy bike, 

he chose the tricycle.  

Pretty. Darn. Cute.

He was asleep before 7:00.

Big day in his little life.  

I missed my girl but knew she was having so much fun with Papa.  She came back all smiles with a grape pop stain on her mouth...sure signs she was loving her little life today too.  

Dinosaur Party!

This afternoon we celebrated 

Jett's 4th Birthday with a few of his preschool friends, 

which turned out to be all girls.  

Lucky guy.  

It was a marvelous day.

Personal Day

Today we took a personal day.

A day to enjoy the weather and each other.

It was a great day.  I have a sunburn to prove it.

 On our way to the flower shop this morning.  He had to bring his new dinosaurs in bags and wear his new spiderman socks. 

His shirt was backwards and his shoes were on the wrong feet but he was as happy as a clam and so proud he dressed himself.  

Jetts Story

4 years ago today we got the phone call at 9:00 in the morning that our son was born at 10:50 the night before.  He was due on May 5th and I had been off work waiting for him to arrive for over a week.   I was laying on the couch wondering what I was going to do for another day while waiting.  The phone rang and time stopped.  I couldn't believe I was really going to be a Mom.  After making all the phone calls to family and friends, reality set in.  We rushed and got everything ready, packed, bought plane tickets, a rental car, hotel room and flew out 2 days later in the middle of the night.  We arrived in Hollywood, Florida and rushed to the adoption agency to meet our sweet boy.  It was love at first sight.  He was fast asleep and we were an instant family.   After a week bonding in Florida we were cleared to fly home.  Fast forward four years and I am more in love with my little man than ever before.  We were made for each other.

He is a happy, confident, loving, creative and energetic little boy who keeps me on my toes.  

He is my buddy, my little man, my pumpkin pie, my love.

Weight: 37 lbs.
Height: 40 inches
Favorite foods: hot dogs, macaroni, spaghetti, blueberry pancakes and broccoli with cheese.
