Look what I found.

As I was getting out our Valentine's stuff, I came across this picture I took 2 years ago for a Valentine's Day card. 

 ::tear::  ::sigh::  ::deep breath::

It was from the days of working part-time.  

When I had more time with my kiddos and less time at work.  

Seri was 4 and Jett was 22 months.  

It seems like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time.  

I miss those days.  

Why are they growing up so fast?

Growing Up

While we were driving this morning to get coffee, we started talking about growing up. I asked them if they are going to take care of me when I am old. Seri said yes, she will come over and do my dishes and help me get dressed. (So sweet.) Yet, she continued to tell me I can't live with her, she will just come visit. Jett was completely quiet, obviously thinking because a little later while drawing on his easel he says:

Jett: "Mama, I don't want to grow up."
Mama: "Why buddy?"
Jett: "Cause I don't want you to get old."
Mama: "I don't want to get old either. Let's just stay this age forever."
Jett: "OK."

He continues drawing. Sweetheart. I would love to stay this age and keep both of them little forever. Yet, they keep growing up.
