3 Day Getaway

We headed out of town these past few days to visit some of our favorite friends...the Swishers.  Seri was a wonderful little entertainer of the little ones and Jett, of course, marches to the beat of his own drum.  We spent our time going to the beach, playing, jumping on the trampoline, running through the sprinkler, eating and visiting the zoo.  Soooooo much fun!  We love spending time with such an awesome little family.

After saying our goodbyes after the zoo we headed to the waterfront in Seattle to visit the aquarium.  It was a beautiful day and the city was filled with flowers, sunshine and happy people.  These two especially.

Jett wanted pictures with the HUGE animals.  Pretty cute.

As we walked hand in hand down the street, music playing, eating ice cream, Seri turns to me and says, "Mom, I think this was the best day ever."  Sweetheart.  

I put them in their jammies, snuggled them up in the car and home we drove from our 

3 day getaway.  

Oh summer...I love it.  

It's coming to an end but not without a bang.  

Down she goes.

Our mammoth OLD tree came down this weekend.  My neighbors tree was starting to slant over and was sick so we decided to share the cost and have them cut down.   HOLY COW!  It was amazing to watch.  

Here is the big tree that was in our front yard.  

The limbs came off first all the way up 

and then pieces were cut.  The kids had a front row seat inside our front window to watch.  

The only thing that remains is the large stump.  

I love the view out my window now...beautiful blue sky.  No more dead tree branches.  

Now I just have to fix the big holes in my yard from the tree falling.

The kids hand washed their wagon this afternoon and brought their "friends" out to play.

 The last month of summer starts tomorrow.  Boo.  We are going to make it the best!
