Dear Seri,

Dear Seri,

Today, my sweet girl, you are 7.  Wow.  To me, you are the same little brown eyed girl I first laid my eyes on when you were just a little peanut.  We have a connection, you and me, that only a mother and a daughter have.  You are sweet, sensitive, sassy and suuuuuper silly.  You are such an amazing little lady and I love you to pieces.

How lucky was I to be able to spend the whole day with you as your mama and your teacher?  You were beaming all day and telling everyone it was your birthday.  Pretty cute.

You woke up early in your room filled with rainbow colored balloons (that's your birthday theme this year)...eager to start your day.  I made you stay in bed so you wouldn't ruin your surprise then got you up with my wonderful rendition of Happy Birthday, a donut and a candle, then covered your eyes as I surprised you with your birthday gift...A PIANO.   A piano for my little music lover.  You were over the moon with excitement!  You even taught yourself how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb within the first 30 minutes of playing.  I can't wait until you can play me more songs.  Man, I love you.

You were  the helper at school and you wore your glittery crown all day.  You sang along with us as we sang Happy Birthday to you and then were so proud to hand out the ice cream you brought for your friends.

Your Daddy bought you the cutest razor scooter ever..equipped with a bell and fancy handlebars.

Mommy, Daddy, Jett and I watched you open your presents.  I think you liked them.  Can you tell by your face?  You are such a silly lady.

What a special day.  Seven sounds so old to me.  You are growing up and I am so lucky to be your Mama.  You are beautiful inside and out.

Happy Birthday Seri Lyn.

I love you.

Love,
Mom
