Today.

Today is a day I want to remember.
Forever.

Spending time with my little man in the park collecting leaves.  Just the two of us.  Special time.  Seri is at soccer practice and we have some time together.  We held hands and walked around collecting leaves.  His idea.  Love him.  He's Mama's boy.
He melts my heart.
As we sat on the bench discussing which trees were our favorites, we heard the church bells ring...one of my favorite sounds, especially when sitting in a beautiful park with my boy.

May I always remember him as he was today.
Four.
Forever.

Loved you yesterday.
 Love you still.
 Always have.
 Always will.

Sunday.

Sundays are the best, especially in the fall.
We worked in the yard.
We did some Halloween Crafts.

We made yummy cheese zombies for dinner.

Nichole and Ryan visited with their
beautiful baby girl.
I loooove babies, especially sweet Avery.

It was a good day.

Random.

We are all decorated for Halloween.

I like to keep the kids art projects from years before and hang them up again.  They love to remember when they made them.
Tai and Seri made Jett a "hula girl" costume out of paper.  Pretty funny and creative.

Back in the beginning of September I bought the kids some sea creatures that grow 600 times their size.  They were cheap and were bought just to help them stay quiet in the grocery store.  (Yes, I do that sometimes.  shhh!)  I thought they would just be a sponge and we would end up just throwing them away.  Oh no.  They started out in a bowl on the table which they outgrew quickly and they currently live in our bathtub and I have to honestly say they are AWESOME.  I don't know what they are made out of but they get HUGE and feel almost real.

Here they are after one night.

Here is our collection at about 1/2 their full size.
Jett is a tad obsessed with them.

My excitement for the week...my shower floor is finished being re-tiled.  Love it.  Anyone who saw it's grossness before knows why I am excited.
Seri brings work home every Friday and we sit down together and go through it.  She tells me all about it and what she is learning about, etc.  We celebrate her accomplishments and talk about things she could work on.  There isn't any school tomorrow so everything came home today.  One of my favorite things to look at is her writing.  She writes the cutest and funniest things and I ADORE her drawings.
This is a picture from her journal about Jett and her dressing up for Halloween.  She is going to be a witch and it looks exactly like her drawing.
Jett is going to be a giraffe.
SOOOOOO cute.
My boy continues to draw and create ALL the time.  I honestly can't remember when he has played with his toys unless he brings them to draw with him.  He even draws with a notebook and a pencil in bed before falling asleep.
He continues to amaze me.
He made this chick at school this week.
 A puppet of himself.
Jett has a huge love of giraffes.  Tonight he was reading and writing letters to his giraffes.  They each had their own chair too and they are currently in bed with him.

I can't believe it is the middle of October already.  It's getting cold.  I love it.
Happy Fall!

Jett's First Field Trip

Jett and Lincoln went to the pumpkin patch today with Jett's preschool class.
He was so excited and had so much fun!
His first time on a school bus!

Can you find Jett?

Words of Wisdom

While driving home tonight Jett said,
"Mom.  Don't pick your nose in public.
My teacher tells us that at school."

So, in private is ok.
Just no public picking.

Thanks Jett.

He was watching a movie about dolphins tonight and is now convinced we must move to Hawaii to live with the dolphins.
Scene: Lying in bed, watching Ocean Life on Netflix, cuddled up with his inflatable blue dolphin and his squid.
Jett:  "Can we move to Hawaii?  Dolphins live in Hawaii.  Can we Mama?  Can we go right now?  Can you drive there?  Does it take a long time?"

Mama:  "It would be fun to live there buddy.
Maybe someday."

He smiles big, rolls over and continues watching, completely fascinated with the dolphins and other ocean life.
My sweetheart.  My boy.

Hawaii would be nice.

Meanwhile, Seri is doing her nightly reading and all I can hear is her barking.  Yes.  Barking.
Biscuit likes to bark in his books.
Those of you who are familiar with Biscuit books may know what I am talking about.
Woof!  Woof!

Cute Little Kitties

We helped Miss Marli
celebrate her 6th birthday this weekend.
She is and has been obsessed with
cats for years.  YEARS.
So...she had a kitty birthday, of course.

What do you think her favorite Auntie got her for her birthday?  Yep, a kitty.
She was OVER THE MOON when she met her little Ralph.  I don't think she has put him down yet.
She is in love.
I can't believe my little Mar is 6.  Wow.
Time goes by too fast.
Isn't she the cutest little peanut?
Happy Birthday Miss Marli Carmen!
