Drop it

Hilarious.  Love this commercial.

Is it summer yet?

My little man did not want to get up this morning.
Good thing we only have 5 more days of school.

My little lady got to pick anywhere she wanted to go for dinner for making it to the 50 mile club.
She is such a sweetie pie.

They are here.

I have been anxiously awaiting my
peonies to bloom.

Well, they are here and they are BEAUTIFUL.
I love them.  They make me happy inside.

  What else do I love?
My little man has been working hard coloring pictures for all of his friends.
So sweet.  He is putting them in his bag for preschool tomorrow.

Good Morning. Good night.

We had an amazing day today and and an even better weekend.  We spent 90% of our time outside.  Yard work, planting and recovering cushions/pillows for Mama and play, play, play
for the little people.
So much fun.

Good morning!
Miss thing didn't want to get out of bed this morning.  I'm pretty sure she was annoyed with her Mama and brother.  Tough love.

Good night my sweets.

questions.

Jett is full of questions.  Question after question after question.  I love it but boy does it get tiresome sometimes answering them all.  He obviously thinks I know everything.  He is proving that I clearly don't.

Yesterday while driving he asked "Mom, do I have boobs?"  Wondering if I heard him right, I turned my head to look at him and he had his shirt pulled up looking around in bewilderment.  Before I could answer he continued, "Oh no that's right.  Marli said I have nibbles.  Right mom?  I have nibbles."

I burst out laughing.
It still makes me giggle.

Did I correct him.  Nope.  Nibbles is a much better word than ni**les.

things I love right now.

-I love Jett's kisses he gives me when I get him dressed in the morning.

-I love that Jett and Seri tell each other how much they love each other on the way to school in the mornings.

-I love that Jett wears his cowboy boots with everything.

-I love my coffee in the morning.

-I love listening to Seri read to me and see how proud she is that she can do it.

-I love how excited they get for hot chocolate on Fridays.

-I love sticking my foot out of my bed and feeling Gus laying next to me on the floor.  He makes me feel safe.

-I loved the look on Jett's face when he buckled his seat belt all by himself for the first time this week.  Seri and I cheered and he grinned from ear to ear.

-I love watering my pots in the evening when the kids are asleep and everything seems so peaceful and quiet.

-I love that school is almost out.

-I love a clean kitchen sink and an empty dishwasher.

-I love that I have gotten to be Seri's Kindergarten teacher.

-I love that my peonies are almost ready to bloom.

-I love that my neighbor Jimmy comes over to discuss the $2.50 he was charged for overloading his garbage can.

I know these may seem random but my memory seems to get worse with my age and I know I won't always remember these things I love right now.

10 things.

1.  I saw the cutest idea to turn jelly jars into little cups.  All you have to do is hole punch (believe it or not) the lid and the straw fits perfectly in and is even tight so they aren't tempted to play with it.  Jett was in love with his new cup.
Perfect for yummy lemonade.
Now I need to make more.
Love it.

 2.  There was a race in our hallway tonight.

 3.  Corn on the cob for dinner.  Yuuuuuuummmmmmy!
I used to shuck corn to the cows growing up.  Is it weird I was kind of sad that Seri was learning to shuck corn over the garbage can?
 4.  My little helpers.  They are in charge of clearing the table each night then washing the table and chairs.  They actually love doing it.
I wonder when that will change.
 5.  Jett's artwork from tonight left on the chalkboard.
6.  We had our piano tuned on Monday.  The nice little old man who has been tuning pianos for 30 years was a little scared when he saw it.  He told me he is from the early 1900's and it looks to have survived a fire.  That wasn't a good sign.  He said, "Well, either it will go to the dump or I can fix it."  After all the work to get it into the house, I was a little heartbroken we may not be able to keep it.  Plus, how do I explain that to my little lady who LOVES it.
But.....3 hours of some fine tuning and our antique piano is tuned and plays beautifully now.
Now Seri can begin piano lessons.

7.  Summer starts in 11 school days and guess what?  I don't know where or what I will be teaching next year.  A little scary for this Mama who has only taught Kinder for 10 years.

8.  I have a new love for diet orange pop from Albertsons.

9.  I can't catch up on the laundry.  I keep trying, but lack motivation.  Outside is much more fun.

10.  Does anyone else love the Real World?
Am I too old to watch it?
